Metcalfe Curling Club hosted the Little Big 4 Bonspiel over the past weekend and Local curlers representing the Morrisburg Curling Club, 'Morrisburg 2' (above: William Gibbons, Trevor Backes, Peyton Caron and Michael Millward) won their opening game against Winchester 2, their 2nd game against Russell 2, and the Annual Big Four Competition Trophy - A Division against Russell 1.  'Morrisburg 1' (below: Julia Cooper, Taelor Miner-Jones, Madilyn (Maddy) Fraser and Amelia (Mia) Miner-Jones lost their 1st game to Russell 1, then went on to defeat Metcalfe 1 and Winchester 2 to win the Annual Big Four Competition - B Division Trophy. Congratulations to all competitors. The Morrisbuurg Curling Club teams won six of eight games on Saturday. A victorious day by our bright young stars of the future.

It was also a busy day for the Bantam and Little Rock curler groups playing out of the Morrisburg Club. The Morrisburg Bantams played in the Big 4 Bonspiel in Winchester where they won their 1st game against one of the host teams then lost their 2nd game, last end/last rock to a Russell foursome. The team consisted of Erin Gibbons, Alexis Grenkie, Keltey McCooeye and Hannah Gibbons. The girls played well and if not for a bad break in the 7th end, would have finished in 2nd  place.
